* Location - First thing that one should consider is where on your patio/backyard are you going to place the umbrella; this will help you decide on the size. * The umbrella stand - This will be determined by the type of umbrella you want. * Material - This is important depending on the use of the umbrella. The most commonly used materials are PVC, canvas, and shade cloth. The PVC is probably the best choice as it blocks UV rays 100% and is most durable; while the others are not far behind, which material one picks in the end is once again a matter of preference.

Customer Review: Fairly Comfy Chair

I have had this chair for almost 2 years now, I thought it is a good amount of time to come back and review it. It was easy to put together and holds up well under use. We have found that it isn't the most comfortable for people who are taller who have back trouble. The padding is fairly stiff and therefore doesn't conform to your body shape at all- just stays in it's own shape while you're in it. If we put a couch pillow (throw pillow- not large pillow!) where our lower lumbar area is, it makes the support much better for us. We also use a blanket on the top for some more head support. I'd have liked a bit more give in the cushion, but hey- it is durable, we have been able to work with it ok with the pillow/blanket additions for support. We don't use the ottoman, so I can't comment on that. We've spent hours in this chair from the time our little one was a newborn. The arms of the chair help hold a Boppy Pillow well if you're nursing

Customer Review: best buy for price

This product is great! For the price...it is unbeatable. I am 7 1/2 months pregnant, and i put it together myself in less than 10 mintues. The only compliant i have, which is not a big one at all, is one that i read before i got this glider. My sole compliant is that the arm cushions do not stay in place, but it's not that big of a deal. Comfort wise, i am happy. If your looking for a glider that you just sink into and is super soft....this is not it. The cushions are supportive, but soft enough. The gliding motion is very, very smooth and the ottoman is just as great. I've been using it every night since i got it and i really do love it. For those who cannot afford to pay upwards of $400 or $500 for a rocker/glider...you most certainly should get this one.

Customer Review: Once it's together, it's not bad

The product is nice and serves the purpose that I bought it for, but be warned the instructions are sparse and not totally accurate. It also takes three hands to assemble. Imagine my shock to find out the spacing on the shelves was wrong after I had it assembled. I checked and rechecked. I even had my wife read the instructions and tell me how far apart they said the support rods needed to be just to find out the count was off by one. Not a big deal if you don't need all the rows, unfortunately I needed them otherwise I would not have started over from the beginning.

Now that all the complaining is out of the way and the rack is put together, it seems like a sturdy rack, it holds lots of DVDs and it looks nice. Although what you get for the price seems high, other less sturdy racks cost nearly as much so what else can you do? I guess the final measure is would I do it again if I needed too, probably that's why I gave it 3 stars.

I bought this book to learn about dining table construction.

The instructions are clear and concise and includes ALL the steps required to make 9 tables.

Kim Carleton Graves is obviously a very good teacher and it really comes across in this book.

I found this book a great learning aid and I'm sure I will refer to it time and time again.

Please publish a book on chairs.

Customer Review: Just what you need if your going to build a dining table

Dining room tables are different in complexity than smaller tables, so its apropos that Taunton chose to put these tables in a separate book from their Tables book. I have both, and have built projects out of both. The Dining Table book deals has a nice layout and design section in the beginning where it describes the minimum and ideal dimensions for tables built for certain numbers of people.

The book contains a nice selections of projects, including a trestle table (pictured on the front cover), a shaker style kitchen table (which I built), various expandable tables, and a boat table constructed using a torsion box.

I would also recommend reading the Tables book by Taunton, as it has a dining room table designed by Frank Klausz which is awesome.

Customer Review: An oldie but goodie!

We ordered this for our daughter, who is now 8 months old. She didn't have much use for it for the first little while, other than chewing and drooling on the rings.

Now that she can sit for long periods of time and concentrate on one task, she has learned to take the rings off one at a time. We are working on getting them back on!

This product has been made for years and years (my parents said I had one and so did my husband's parents) and there's definitely a reason!

Customer Review: $55 Dollars for plastic??!!

The title says it all--$55 for this?! It's a classic toy, but this price is beyond insane. You can buy the wood version by Doug & Melissa for under $10--unless this is a typo, it's crazy.
